Introduction to Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is in southwestern Uganda, spanning both Kiruhura and Mbarara districts.  This park covers an area of more than 260 km and is characterized by close interaction with wildlife. It does not have the stiff mountains and up-and-down topography of other Ugandan national parks but is instead characterized by gentle rolling hills, dense acacia woodlands, expansive savannas, and wetlands.
